Anna ISD's District Librarian, Greta Adams, spearheaded a beloved annual event, Read Across Anna, inspired by the nationwide Read Across America initiative. During the first week of March, approximately 30 community members, including firefighters, school board members, and district faculty, dedicated their time to reading in every classroom across all four elementary schools in Anna.
Megan Massey, Counselor at Rattan Elementary, is a finalist in the HEB Excellence in Education Award program. Representatives from HEB and Buddy, the HEB mascot, surprised her and the students with a visit and a $1,000 check for Rattan Elementary.
The Anna ISD Elementary School Counseling Team held a 5th Grade Career Fair on Thursday. More than 50 career professionals, including architects, journalists, artists, dentists, and professionals from the health industry, were present to discuss their jobs and answer student questions.
The Anna ISD 18+ Transition program students launched their Coyote Coffee Cart today. This was their ‘soft opening’ at AHS. Transition teacher Janet Darr says that the Coyote Coffee Cart is a hands-on experience for students with disabilities to develop real work skills in providing a service to Anna High School faculty while gaining valuable skills to transition into adulthood.
In a thrilling display of skill, determination, and teamwork, the Anna Coyote football team succeeded by clinching their first-ever state championship title. They left it all on the field from the first snap to the final whistle, showcasing their unwavering commitment to excellence.
