The purpose of Anna High School cheerleading is to create, promote, and uphold school spirit in accordance with school rules and to represent AHS at cheerleading-oriented activities, cheerleading competitions, and other cheerleading appearances. Cheerleaders promote leadership, sportsmanship, and self-discipline; and encourage high academic standards and good citizenship for the school and fellow cheerleaders. Cheerleaders plan and initiate activities which will promote student body and community support and involvement in the promotion of athletic events and other school activities.

Parents and candidates must attend one of the two Mandatory Parent Meetings before tryouts. Information regarding tryout clinics, tryout process, and program expectations. In order to be eligible to tryout, one parent must accompany their cheer candidate to the meeting.

All practices are mandatory, unless there is a medical excuse or you are attending a school sponsored activity.
