HOSA stands for the Health Occupations Students of America. On February 18, 2017, Anna High School students participated in the HOSA Area Competition/Conference at Centennial High School in Frisco, Texas. This is the first year for Anna High School to have a HOSA chapter, and thus, the first time for them to go to Conference.

Each HOSA member that went to conference either competed in an event, participated as a voting delegate for Area officers, or were part of the Courtesy Corps. Some of the events that Anna High School competed in were: Medical photography, Community Awareness, Public Health, Medical Art poster, and Extemporaneous poster. Anna High School HOSA did not move on to state this year in any category, but it was a positive learning experience and students got to meet many new HOSA friends from different schools.

The following students attended the HOSA Conference: Macie Agerlid, Mary Beth Geren, Echo Lake, JulieAnne Carlson, Chris Tracy, Nathan Minter, Juan Sanchez, Madison Kenny, Sayde Cummings , Sam Morales, William Fudge, Ashley Stockton, Nicole Stockton, and Emilee Walker
